Booking & Cancellation Policy
Scheduled Cruises

Deposit – To secure your cruise, a non-refundable deposit of 20% of your total fare is required. This is payable at the time of booking, when receiving your deposit invoice.

Payment – Full payment is required no later than Sixty (60) days before your cruise departure date.

Cancellation Policy
If you need to amend or cancel your cruise with us please let us know as soon as you can so we may assist you and as various notice periods apply:

Cancellation of your cruise sixty (60) days or more prior to your cruise departure date, you forfeit your non-refundable deposit.

Cancellations happening between fifty nine (59) days and thirty one (31) days prior to your cruise departure, will result in 50% of your full cruise payment being non refundable.
If you cancel your cruise with less than 30 days notice your full cruise payment is completely non refundable.

Should you test positive for Covid-19 within 6 days prior to your cruise departure date, this will result in you being unable to come aboard the vessel and no refund will be given.
Cancellation requests must be received in writing which can be via email.

Any requests to change departure dates, change cruise destination or upgrade to a longer cruise, will be reviewed on a case by case basis. Where possible in terms of availability and time frames, we will do our best to accommodate amendments.

However some amendments when closer to departure date or due to alternative cruises being full, may not be possible and we make no guarantees.
Please discuss any situations where cancellations, change of date or change of cruise might be needed and we will do our best to assist you.

Cancellation policy on additional bookings
All additional bookings made on your behalf will be determined by the providers cancellation policy at the time of booking. Affinity cruises reserve the right to charge a 10% fee of the total value of your additional booking to amend and or cancel bookings on your behalf.

If Affinity Cruises cancel your cruise due to the vessel being unable to depart, an offer to transfer to a later date will be provided at no additional cost.
Should we be unable to find an alternative cruise date that suits, a full refund will then apply. Excluding – acts of force majeure / acts of God, where no refund applies.

We highly recommend that you obtain travel insurance to assist with unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to health reasons, that may cause you to have to cancel your cruise.

Covid-19 Cancellation Policy effective 1st May 2020 until further notice
This policy overrides the standard Affinity Cruises Cancellation Policy under the following situations:

  • The New Zealand Government moves the country back to a Covid level that prevents people from travelling around New Zealand.

Transfer to a later date at no additional cost will be offered first or full refund of the total fare excluding your non-refundable deposit will be given.

Vaccination and Mask Policy
You are no longer required to be fully vaccinated prior to cruising with Affinity Cruises.

Affinity Cruises do not require you to wear a mask on board, however you are welcome to wear a mask at your own discretion.

 

Exclusive Charters

MV Affinity is a purpose-built 60 foot, single hull boat with 8 Twin Share guest cabins.

  • We specialise in small group cruises, numbers for an exclusive charter trip depend on cabin configuration required
  • Exclusive Cruises must be booked with a minimum of 2 nights and can range up to 10 nights.
  • Discover our backyard with three locations to chose from. Marlborough Sounds, Stewart island or Fiordland.
  • Comfortable, relaxing cruising where every activity is optional.
  • Kiwi style home cooking, barbeques and fresh fish for the plate. A diverse range of cuisine that’s seasonal and local.

All charter bookings are confirmed upon receipt of a booking form and a non-refundable booking deposit of 20% quoted at the time of booking. This deposit is payable at the time of receiving your invoice.

Full payment for your exclusive charter is due no later than sixty (60) days prior to your cruise departure date.

We recommend you obtain travel insurance well in advance of your cruise departure, incase of any unforeseen circumstance.
